The Pink Tank 4 event hosted by FAB Network Waterford on Wednesday July 9 was according to the organisers and participants a roaring success.
The Pink Tank team is made up of Barrister and former 'Where in the World' presenter Theresa Lowe, Nicola Byrne, CEO and founder of Call 11890 Ltd, Orlaith Carmody, director of media training.ie and solicitor Linda O'Shea Farren.
The morningevent, sponsored by Waterford City Enterprise Board, saw the ladies speak on up to the minute topics, along with offering support and advice to women in business.
"Be happy doing what you're doing", were the words of advice from Linda Farren O'Shea, one of the Pink Tank 4, who spoke to FAB Waterford members and supporters at Faithlegg House Hotel. The inspiring ladies entertained and educated the Females at Business networking group with stories of their paths to business success.
Orlaith Carmody was first to speak offering her ten tips to succeeding in business and was followed by Theresa Lowe, who spoke about her early career with RTE and making the dramatic change to study law. She said getting emotional support is crucial to starting out a new business, adding, "If you've changed careers, you are the sum of all your experiences".
The group was then treated to 'Elegant Elevenses' before solicitor Linda Farren O'Shea took to the podium. She encouraged the audience to follow their path, get out and meet people and who knows what opportunities are right in front of you.
Nicola Byrne agreed and concluded the morning event by emphasizing that we have to do it for ourselves, believe in yourself and your business and never forget to "live the way you want to live".
The next FAB Waterford event will take place on Tuesday, September 4th in the Tower Hotel and will see FAB Waterford supporting the Harvest Festival.
