Citroen & Arsenal FC createstriking series of 'Cinemagraphs'

Wednesday, 25th January 2012

Citroën UK and Arsenal Football Club have produced a series of cinemagraphs – subtly animated images – featuring New Citroën DS5 and first team players Mikel Arteta, Laurent Koscielny and club captain Robin van Persie.

Revealing hints of movement in each composition, the cinemagraphs show the players executing their best ball skills around Citroën's brand new flagship DS5. The visuals are the second series of cinemagraphs Citroën has commissioned, continuing its use of the format as a distinctive application of 'Créative Technologie'.

Marc Raven, Communications Director at Citroën UK commented; "Embracing innovative technology, Citroën pioneered cinemagraphs for the automotive industry and we're delighted to be using the format to support our association with Arsenal Football Club. The players had a lot of fun in the production of these and I hope they're as happy with the results as we are."

Vinai Venkatesham, Head of Global Partnerships at Arsenal Football Club commented; "This has been a great activity to kick off the newly extended partnership between Arsenal and Citroën. The cinemagraphs make fantastic visuals, are very eye-catching and we're delighted to be the first club to get involved with the technology."

The Citroën Arsenal cinemagraphs were created by design agency TIZA Creative.
