Imagine presents Andrew Maxwell at Forum Waterford

Friday October 23rd will see world renowned comedian Andrew Maxwell, presented by the Imagine Festival, take to the main stage at Forum Waterford.

Andrew Maxwell is more than a stand up comedian - he's an intrepid social commentator and political protagonist on a mission to liberate minds with the power of comedy. Born from the bloodlines of two street preaching Grandfathers in the heart of Dublin, the passion to speak out has always been rich in his veins and this is most evident when he's in front of an audience. Renowned for his sharp, fast paced streams of consciousness and well observed retort, Maxwell builds the crowd by challenging the controversial or taboo. He engages any audience he faces with a myriad of subjects and lures them into his riotous world, an example would be 'This is My Hour' which explored what you would say and do if you only had an hour left to live.**

Maxwell was raised in Kilbarr...

Compulsion

Traffik, the city's top Indie Club based at Forum Waterford will go live again on Saturday October 3rd with Dublin based up and coming four piece "Codes". Codes are an alternative/electronic quartet from Dublin. Expansive, yet melodic, powerful yet delicate, CODES music colours the void between the ambience and longevity of soundtrack music and the energy and immediacy of live music. Their new single 'You Are Here' is taken from the winter inspired debut album "Trees Dream In Algebra", which was recorded with acclaimed producer Greg Haver (Manics, SFA) mastered by Greg Calbi (U2,Interpol,Kings of Leon) and was released on September 18th nationwide.

Never ones to be content with trend following, the group have taken the recognisable 4 piece band formula and moved it into something entirely their own. Soaring vocal harmonies, dreamy arrangements and a calculated cryptography of electronic beats, piano, glockenspiel and an...
