| Get Soul |
Get Soul
Floyd Soul & The Wolf play rock and roll stripped back to the basics. They've got stomping bass lines and harmonies that hit you like a cannonball, not to mention a frontman that can mesmerise a crowd with equal parts arrogance and charm. Citing influences from The Rolling Stones, Neil Young, Springsteen, Kings Of Leon and AC/DC, they are proud to carry on the tradition of pure-bred rock and roll. Hot Press Magazine said this about their live show; "Floyd Soul & The Wolf play as if their very lives depended on it, and when was the last time you could say that about any Irish band?" Furthermore the same respected magazine said this about their last single ""It's always positive to hear a band playing a genre that isn't the red-hot fashion of the moment, and it's even more positive to hear a band play it as well as Floyd Soul And The Wolf do. The Waterford foursome are staking their claim in fine style with 'Give It A Chance'... Read More » |

Antarctic Monkeys & Kaiser Thiefs
The UK's top 2 tribute acts are on the way to Electric Avenue with Antarctic Monkeys playing the last night of their Irish Tour in John Street on Saturday 18 October, and Kaiser Thiefs making a debut trip to Waterford on Saturday 15th November.
These two bands are genuinely just as good as the real thing. They have become a phenomenon in the UK where they both tour extensively to sell-out crowds and have headlined events like "Glastonbudget" and "Tribfest". Antarctic Monkeys played to a full house at Electric Avenue at the beginning of the year and the audience were astonished by how close they sounded to their idols, there was even a stage invasion during the encore. Reviews about the Kaiser Thiefs are equally positive and as an added bonus they will be supported on the night by Blurb, a tribute to the Brit Pop legends. Tickets for both gigs are on sale now at BPM Records & Ticketmaster.
It's official, Arctic Mon... Read More » |
