Finbar Furey, an individual who considers Dunmore East his home away from home and was one of the highlights of the fundraising night in aid of the Dunmore East Trawler Tragedy, takes his "No Farewells, No Goodbyes" tour to Forum, Waterford on Friday November 23rd for a show of traditional Irish song at its best.

Keith McErlean, who will be performing in Sky Road at the Theatre Royal, Waterford City, took some time out of rehearsals to speak to Waterford Today about the play in which he will perform, his character, his real-life and doing both television and theatre in recent years and the future.

RTÉ 2fm's Jenny Huston unveiled details of three up and coming Irish bands who will embark on the third nationwide RTÉ 2fm 2moro 2our of Ireland from 15 to 25 November.

RTÉ 2fm announced the following star-studded line-up for the RTÉ 2fm 2moro 2our: David Geraghty of Bell X1, Concerto for Constantine and last but not least, Ham Sandwich. This is an exciting line up and RTÉ 2fm are calling for up and coming local acts to join in! On Friday 16 November the RTE 2fm 2moro 2our will be in Electric Avenue in Waterford City at 9pm.

Next Tuesday 16th October will see the European Union Chamber Orchestra perform at Christ Church Cathedral at 8 pm. The concert is presented by Symphony Club of Waterford and Christ Church Cathedral, working together to bring some of Europe's finest musicians to Waterford audiences. One of the highlights of the first year of gigs at Electric Avenue was a 2 hour show by Pixies tribute band "Doolittle" a couple of months ago. It demonstrated that when the band being paid tribute to is one of the all-time rock greats and it is being done by people who are huge fans and have dedicated themselves to re-creating a gig by their heroes, it can really be very nearly just as good as the real thing. Two more great tribute acts are on their way to the Avenue over the coming weeks with the Australian Pearl Jam playing on Friday 19th October and the Stone Roses Experience on Friday 26th October.

Our friends from down under have really set the standards for rock tribute shows. The Australian Pink Floyd and Australian Doors have progressed to playing arenas around the world and now the Australian Pearl Jam are on a similar rise. Their show has been highly recommended by none other than Eddie Vedder himself, who has even guested with the lads at some after-show parties in Australia. They have made several successful tours of Europe and have sold out every show they have played in Ireland so far.
