Spirit is Waterford's premier and most innovative leisure centre &beauty spa and last week they celebrated their first year in business.With the ability to meet all your fitness and beauty needs Spirit has something for everyone!

Spirit Leisure Centre's gymnasium includes a large fully air conditioned cardiovascular area, equipped with treadmills, rowing machines, cross trainers, exercise bikes and stair climbing machines. The locally sourced and maintained TECA equipment is regarded as the best in the industry and it is both user-friendly and sophisticated to ensure that you gain maximum results from each workout. The weights and resistance area offer the ideal location to work those muscles with top of the range TECA resistance machines and a free weights area that includes a Smyth Machine and a large selection of dumbbells.

Spirit Leisure Centre also boasts a 20 metre heated swimming pool with graduated steps for ease of entry and exit to the pool. Swimming has many well known therapeutic advantages, both physical, if you're returning from an injury and psychological, if you simply want to de-stress. So whether you want to improve your technique with some lane swimming or just want to splash about why not take advantage of Spirit's flat bottomed pool. The poolside thermal area is also the perfect place to relax after a tough workout. Let the heat of the sauna relax your muscles or just get lost in the eucalyptus scented steamroom. Or why not try the Jacuzzi and drench shower which offers a refreshing contrast of hot and cold to awaken the senses.

The swimming pool and gym are constantly monitored by our friendly, approachable staff who will be more than happy to give new members gym inductions to demonstrate how the machines should be used safely and also most effectively. All members will also receive a specifically tailored gym program to suit your every need. All programs are constantly updated to ensure your workout remains both interesting and effective for its duration. Spirit also offer a full range of exercise classes for both members and non-members in their spacious gym studio.
