In these recessionary times and we certainly all could all do with some relief and the Laughter Lounge is certainly living up to its name.
Building in popularity weekly it has been completely sold out for the last few Saturdays. If you are not in by 9pm, you are unlikely to get a seat.
Proprietor, Ciaran O'Neill, said he is really pleased with the overwhelming positive reaction to the comedy. "It is a really great night out for anyone aged 18 to 80 who have a sense of humour. As well as getting the general public in big numbers on Saturdays, we already have a number of corporate bookings for Fridays over the next few months and we are looking at maybe adding a second night, every week, if the demand is there later in the year", he commented.
Ciaran continued "We also have a late club, 'VIVA', with DJ Paul Farrell, each week after the comedy is over and for September we are doing a promotion whereby we will be giving out free finger food to those that stay on."
This week's line-up is Gar Murran, Robbie Bonham, Neil Dougan and Dean Scurry.
