Superquinn today launched a two week appeal urging consumers to recycle their old mobile phones in aid of Barretstown, the retailer's charity of choice. For every phone recycled at least €3 is donated to Barretstown by Kavanagh Environmental, the company which recovers and recycles the phones. Barretstown aims to recycle 100,000 phones raising at least €300,000 and Superquinn customers in Co. Waterford are urged to help them reach their goal.
Special Barretstown branded bags are available in all Superquinn stores at the checkout area from Monday 9th to Sunday 22nd February, and will also be enclosed with online shopping customers' deliveries. Consumers simply put their old phones into the bag and freepost the sealed bag back to Kavanagh Environmental. Up to six phones can fit into each bag.
