Pedestrian crossing welcome - D'Arcy PDF Print E-mail

Cllr. Jim D'Arcy has welcomed the pedestrian crossing planned for the Dunmore Road, near the Farmleigh housing estate. He points out that people trying to get to the Londis shop and other facilities from estates on the other side of the road have found it difficult and dangerous to get across. The Fine Gael councillor says that the Dunmore Road is a major route, which is extremely busy at all times of the day and that crossings further in the road have improved safety for local residents in those areas. "It is very good news that a pedestrian crossing is now planned for this location. It is important that people are able to feel safe when they are walking to their local shops and amenities and the new crossing will greatly enhance safety in this area."
