With a fantastic line-up of art, puppet making, fairy-cake decoration, dance and music workshops, this year, through the continuing and generous support of Genzyme Ireland, ALL OF THE ART WORKSHOPS ARE FREE!!! Don't miss the interactive puppet show at 3.45pm on Tuesday 26th July with award-winning puppeteer, Niamh Lawlor of Púca Puppets. Shorts for Wee Ones was a big hit at Scotland's Discovery Film Festival earlier this year and at only €3 per child, with adults going free, it's a must-see on Thursday 28th July at 3.45pm.

  • Bluegrass returns to its roots!

    After 16 years, almost 1,000 gigs, 150 bands and artists and a whole lot of hoopin', hollerin', pickin' and clawin', the 17th Guinness International Bluegrass Festival is returning to the picturesque fishing village of Dunmore East, Co. Waterford.

    The line-up has been announced for the festival which takes place from August 25th to August 28th and the festival is bringing together an enviable line up of bluegrass artists for Ireland's only free bluegrass music festival.

  • Maeve Croke from Waterford dances up a storm in Riverdance

    Riverdance is back at the Gaiety Theatre, Dublin for its summer run until 28th August and amongst the cast is dancer Maeve Croke. Maeve was born in Waterford and started dancing for the Troy School of Irish Dance at a very young age. During her years of competing she won numerous championships and Munster and All Ireland Medals. Maeve joined Lord of the Dance and toured America for 2 years before joining Riverdance with whom she is still dancing. Maeve has had the honour of dancing at the Kremlin in Russia, The Great Wall of China, at the Acropolis in Greece, Radio City Music Hall NY and many more prestigious events all over the World.     F.W. Murnau's telling of the classic German legend, 'Faust' is a masterpiece to behold. From both the technical and story standpoint, the film excels and despite being nearly eighty years old Faust still stands tall as one of the greatest cinematic achievements of all time. The story follows a German alchemist by the name of Faust. As God and Satan war over Earth, the Devil preaches that he will be able to tempt Faust into darkness.

    This silent film will be accompanied with live improvisations by organist Morgan Cooke.
