  • Say Yes To Carrots!

    Wednesday, 30th January 2008

    We're Not Talking Food

Why are Carrots good for our Skin?

Our body finds it hard to repair the damage to our skin and hair caused by the sun's rays and air pollutants. Carrots and other orange fruits and vegetables (such as pumpkins, melons, and oranges) contain Beta-Carotene, which is widely recognised for its anti-oxidant and anti-ageing properties. Yes To Carrots Paraben Free formulations of Beta-Carotene and minerals assist our the skin's natural process in reducing this damage, helping it to positively GLOW!

Why the Dead Sea (apart from the fact that it is fun to float in)?

The Dead Sea marks the lowest place on earth and is the deepest hyper-saline lake in the world. The Dead Sea contains 26 minerals and trace elements that are known

  • Brendan Grace returns to Forum

    Wednesday, 30th January 2008

Brendan Grace returns to play Forum Waterford on Friday and Saturday, February 8th and 9th and it's a funny old world when seen through his eyes.

The sanctimonious priest who knows more than he's telling:

''Blessed is he who gets married .. in the nick of time!''.

The father of the bride makes a speech at his daughters wedding:

''She could have married someone with money; she could have married someone who was working. She could have married someone who wasn't working.. but was willing to work.''

Then there's the schoolboy with the unspeakable personal habits and a fine line in sympathy pleas.

Brendan Grace is all of these and more.

Each cock- eyed portrait he paints has a ring of truth that brings audiences to the point of apoplexy.

Brendan's material owes more to the best of the traditional stand-up-comics then it does to modern alternative humour

When Robert Plant, Jimmy Page, John Paul Jones and John Bonham's son (Jason) announced they were reforming for a show at the O2 arena in London last December, 20 million fans around the world applied for the 20,000 tickets available. The reviews of that concert from all the leading rock press (Q, Mojo, Uncut, NME) were universal in their praise of the pure power of the performance and majesty of the songs. Led Zeppelin set the template for all hard rock acts that followed and are loved as much by alternative acts like The White

  • Waterford Tipped over

    Wednesday, 30th January 2008

The final of the Munster Waterford Crystal Cup took place in Templemore on Sunday last and saw the home side come through on the right side of a 3-13 to 0-13 scoreline. Really it was a deserved win for the Premier as on the day they werethoroughly on top from the start. Goals in the opening half from Lar Corbett and Eoin Kelly gave the Tipp men a

2-8 to 0-5 lead and when Eoin Kelly got his second within ten minutes of the restart, there was no way back for the Deise.

Indeed it was former Waterford All-star Eoin Kelly who kept the Deise in the game as he rifled over four points from frees in that opening thirty odd minutes but his namesake did very much the same for Tipperary.

Waterford opened the scoring in the second

Google AlertWhen a company which has it's European Headquarters here in Ireland is called 'evil' and 'immoral' by M.P.s in The House of Commons you tend to sit up and take notice. The particular company that was being referred to was Google and the reason it had enraged M.P.s in London was because even though it has a big operation there and conducts a lot of business there it pays no corporate tax.
